"I first started working with Erin at the age of seven. Erin exposed me to an unimaginable number of styles and mediums that allowed me to build my own artistic identity. Since then, she has taught me the technical skills of using paints and brushes, inks and pastels. She has shown me how to draw the forms and shadows of an object, how to replicate and mix colour and create my own compositions. But beyond the technicalities of what I have learned, Erin gave me a space to discover my own passions and interests. She exposed me to collages, dioramas, drawings and paintings, and through that, gave me the freedom to choose how I wanted to express myself. She acted as a guide on my road to self discovery. If it weren’t for Erin, I wouldn’t have developed the skill, passion and confidence in my work that I value today."
